Speaker 1:

Hi, this is Gretchen from come to yourself.com with our series facts, not fiction, featuring a discussion about Paris psychology with Lloyd our back enjoy. Absolutely. So if somebody believes, like, let's say somebody after hearing this goes, okay. I definitely understand that there was between intuition and ESP, but I have had experiences where there were things that I knew that I can't explain how I could have known that in any way. What would you say may be a entry step or first couple of steps in them trying to explore if they have a psychic ability?

Speaker 2:

Well, actually the first thing I would say is to start jotting down all those weird experiences they had and see if there are patterns to them. Um, and then going forward, start keeping a journal or a log of those kinds of experiences. Uh, Alex tennis , that psychic I mentioned gave me some when I asked them , how do you know, how do you become psychic said, first step is to notice that you already are because even if it looks like you're just intuitive, we are scanning the environment with our psychic ability all the time. It's just that information. We get three SP is not always of any more value than the information we get through our normal census and the stuff we get through our normal senses is more obvious. So, you know, I don't need to know what's behind the door. Most of the time when I'm about to walk through a door to an unknown room, I don't need to know that. Yeah , I might know that, but unless there was something that possibly could be caused me harm or some emotional reaction, why in the world would that even bubble up to my consciousness?

Speaker 1:

You wouldn't register that there is actually that moment where, you know, what's immediately behind the door before you open the door. It wouldn't register as something.

Speaker 2:

Right. Any more than if I heard something weird coming from behind that door , um , I might take think twice about walking through the door, unless it was really, really strange. But if there's some low-level thing back there, I might hear that and just write it off as I don't even know what that is. So I'm not going to worry about it. So it's the same kind of thing. Um, they exercise, I teach my students typically is one that Alex taught me, which is one that actually, he said he co-opted from memory trainers. And that is to spend a few minutes each day focusing on each of your normal senses. So to be in a place where there's, you know, you, first of all, you don't want to be in a place that's quiet or, and has no stuff to perceive . You need to see things and you need to hear things. So that's not, you know, do that. And then for your sense of smell, you can have some essential oils or foods. You can taste different things. The idea is to really consciously attend to each of your senses. Um, if I really stop and listen right now, I can hear road noise far away outside of my house. We're not too far from a highway. Normally I don't hear it at all. I've just simply ignored it. Uh, so it's a matter of attending to other, to everything you possibly can notice consciously. Um , and th and also, you know, one thing people tend to ignore is their sense of touch. And I'm not talking about testing things with your hands. You don't need to do that because you're sitting in a chair or on the floor and you're in clothing. So you've got, you're touching you, that stuff is touching you. My glasses are touching me. You know, my clothes are touching me. My watch is touching me. I can, I can feel how my, my feet feel and my socks and my shoes, how my butt feels in the chair, how it feels and everything I'm wearing. So you don't really need to do anything extraordinary here at all, except maybe for set, for smell and taste after doing this like every day for, and really we're talking about three to five minutes for each of these. Yeah . After you do this for a couple of weeks, you tend to start noticing there might be something peep peeping into your head visually, or auditorily or other you're feeling something that you cannot consciously pin down to anything from your normal senses. And that would be the psychic.

Speaker 3:

Got it. That's, that's actually a very simple exercise that anybody can.

Speaker 2:

Yeah . Yeah. And it's kind of meditative for people to right away to get away from the world. That's one way to do it.

Speaker 3:

Yeah. That's actually great.
